The performance "Mum's the word"* was realized by their mothers instead of them. Their mothers introduced some ideas for the work itself (that Marina and Buba later adjusted), sewed simple white dresses for the performance and decided about the positions of the chairs in the given space. Buba and Marina tried to interfere or control as little as possible in the process of the performance letting their mothers experiencing it in their personal way.

The work itself is dealing with identities, mirroring and complexity in the mother-daughter relationship.

"The mothers were sitting on the chairs across each other, surrounded with 99 white balloons. Although motionless and silent, they would occasionally during the performance cut a balloon tread or prick one, thus revealing their faces."

*"Mum's the word" means remaining silent or not revealing a secret. It's still used today, to express the need to keep quiet about something - to either keep a secret, or not cause a scene. The expression was originally used by Shakespeare in Henry VI, Part 2, 1592.
